Business Administration and Economics

At º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, we prepare students for professional careers in business or for graduate studies. This preparation involves a curriculum that stresses analysis and communication, emphasizes both theory and practice and is shaped by the needs of the business community. The department fosters close ties with the corporate community that provide a wealth of practical expertise, a variety of internship opportunities, and future job prospects.

Majors and Requirements

The Department of Business and Economics offers thirteen majors: Accounting, Applied Economics, Business and Economics, Business Administration(Music Business Specialization only), Economics, Economics and Political Science(Secondary Education majors only,) Finance, International Business, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Mathematical Economics, and Sports Management.

Gain hands-on experience

Business students at Augsburg do more than learn about balance sheets and supply and demand. The Business Administration Department coordinates with the Center for Global Education and Experience, the Strommen Center for Meaningful Work, and the Sabo Center for Citizenship and Learning to provide students with invaluable learning experiences through study abroad, internships, and service work.

Taking MBA Classes as an Undergraduate Student

Undergraduate Business Administration students can take up to two graduate courses in the MBA program in place of comparable undergraduate courses required for the major, and to count those courses towards their undergraduate degree. To learn more, .Ìý
