While FERPA states that we may release directory information, it does not require that we release it. Below are examples of types of data requests that we decline to fulfill:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Requests for non-directory information. We will release non-directory information to a school official who has a legitimate educational interest and needs the information in order to fulfill their professional responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Requests for sweeping lists of students, for the purpose of advertising courses, programs, events, etc. Please utilize the A-mail publication for the purpose of educating the community about these opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Requests made by students for either their own or other students&#8217; information. Students should access their educational record in Records &amp; Registration or use the Request to Inspect Student Educational Records form on the Registrar&#8217;s website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To request current student data,* please complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdcBlGbmthC9HwOywQxlIpIpmeOb3wV2ZKxvWHUaRbHX2XNeg\/viewform?embedded=true\">Augsburg Student Data Request form<\/a>.\u00a0The Registrar&#8217;s Office tries to process data requests in a timely manner.
