She earned her Bachelor\u2019s degree in Psychology with a minor in Theatre from the University of California, San Diego, and her Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota\u2013Twin Cities. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Alicia uses relational-cultural and somatic approaches in her work with Native and LGBTQIA client relatives across integrated behavioral health and community clinic settings. She has specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), In Touch Again Multi-Sensory Play Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy, Mind-Body Medicine, and Brainspotting. Alicia began teaching MSW students in 2022 and previously taught at the University of St. Thomas. Outside of work, Alicia enjoys dancing jingle with her family during pow wow season.
