Dear Augsburg community,<\/span><\/p>\n In compliance with the \u201cTimely Warning\u201d provision of the federal Jeanne Clery Campus Security Act, the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Department of Public Safety (DPS) is giving notice of a situation that represents a serious or continuing threat to students and employees of the University. The purpose of a timely warning is to provide information to aid the Augsburg community in protecting themselves after a report of a serious crime.<\/span><\/p>\n Reported Offense: Hate Crime – Destruction\/Damage\/Vandalism of Property<\/b><\/p>\n On July 7, 2025, at approximately 9:15 a.m., the Augsburg Department of Public Safety received a report that there was a photo of an employee on a wall in Anderson Music Hall that had been defaced. The employee reported concerns that their photo was defaced on account of their racial identity. The incident took place sometime between 5:00 p.m. on June 23, 2025, and 10:00 a.m. on July 6, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n Suspect Description<\/b><\/p>\n At this time, there is no description of a suspect involved in this incident.<\/span><\/p>\n Status<\/b><\/p>\n DPS is currently investigating this incident.
