Knack Tutors are Augsburg students who have previously aced the courses they offer assistance in; tutoring is completely free and sessions can take place in-person or online.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Tvs_vfKYpN4\">Knack Partnership Overview<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Recommend a Tutor<\/h2>\n<p>Peer tutoring has been shown to improve academic performance, enhance students&#8217; self-confidence, and reduce dropout rates.\u00a0 You can recommend tutors at any time.<\/p>\n<p><a type=\"button\" class=\"btn btn-default btn-lg\" href=\"https:\/\/knacktutoring.typeform.com\/to\/qY8tjZVa?typeform-source=541485.hs-sites.com\">Recommend a Tutor<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Knack Tutors<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students can earn an hourly rate of $16\/hour<\/li>\n<li>Students can tutor any courses in which they&#8217;ve earned a B+ or higher<\/li>\n<li>Students maintain control over their own working hours<\/li>\n<li>Students have the flexibility to help their peers online or in-person<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Quality Tutoring<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/help.joinknack.com\/en\/articles\/9524445-session-recap\">Recaps<\/a> are required to be filled out for all tutoring sessions. If there is a concern about low ratings or feedback, our Student Success team is available to assist. That team periodically monitors sessions and, if flagged in the system, take proactive steps to discover what occurred, offer additional training and support, and bring that awareness to the campus partner for further discussion.<\/p>\n<h2>Knack Tutor Training<\/h2>\n<p>Before tutoring any students, new tutors must complete a comprehensive, two hour <a href=\"https:\/\/help.joinknack.com\/en\/articles\/3636959-tutor-training\">training<\/a>, which was developed in accordance with CRLA&#8217;s International Tutor Training Program Certification. This training for tutors covers various topics, including the role of a tutor, effective tutoring techniques, student expectations, and best practices. It emphasizes the importance of respecting individual differences, creating a positive learning environment, and providing personalized support to students.\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tutors are paid for training time up to two hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Knack Tutoring Syllabus Blurb<\/h2>\n<p>Students looking for additional assistance outside of the classroom are advised to consider working with a peer tutor through Knack. Augsburg has partnered with Knack to provide students with access to verified peer tutors who have previously aced this course. To view available tutors, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/augsburg.joinknack.com\">augsburg.joinknack.com<\/a> and sign in with your student account.<\/p>\n<h2>Professional Tutoring Overview<\/h2>\n<p>Knack provides a 24\/7, on-demand <a href=\"https:\/\/help.joinknack.com\/en\/articles\/8653220-knack-partner-faqs-professional-tutoring\">professional tutoring network<\/a> to serve as a complement to your campus-specific network of peer tutors.
